The Thesaurus is available as a free download as XML file. The files are identical with the current version of the Thesaurus. Before downloading the file(s), please read the following licence agreement carefully and accept the conditions of use via choosing the "I accept the licence conditions" button at the bottom of the page. Accepting the stipulations of the licence agreement will take you to the download area. If you want to be kept informed about new and revised editions of the Thesaurus please send an email to thesaurus@drze.de in order to be included in the mailing list.
Licence AgreementThe subject matter of this Licence Agreement are the files for the Thesaurus Ethics in the Life Sciences (Thesaurus) made available as a download in conjunction with the reference implementation. The licensors are:

Right of useOn conclusion of the licence agreement the licensee shall acquire the unlimited right in terms of time and space to use the Thesaurus extensively for his own non-commercial purposes. This shall include the right to use the Thesaurus in digital or analogue form, online or offline, physically or non-physically. Permission to use shall be granted free of charge. 2. Restrictions on the right of useThe following shall be excluded from the right of use:
Processing shall be deemed to exist when the Thesaurus
Processing shall not be deemed to exist when the Thesaurus as a whole is input into a database or another compilation. In this case there must be clear mention of the fact that the Thesaurus is governed by this Licence. 3. Other terms and conditions of useThe Thesaurus must always be immediately identifiable as an independent work irrespective of the form in which it is used. The following information must be given:
4. Termination of rights in the event of violationAny violation of the licence terms and conditions shall automatically terminate the rights of use of every offender. 5. LiabilityIn conjunction with the rights granted by this licence, the licensor shall only be liable for the fraudulent non-disclosure of defects of title. 6. Applicable lawThis licence agreement shall be governed by German law with the exception of conflict of laws provision.
