International Bioethics Committee (IBC)

The International Bioethics Committee (IBC) is a UNESCO body founded in 1993 and consists of 36 independent experts. The task of the committee is to protect human dignity and freedom. To this end, statements, assessments and recommendations are prepared on a range of topics in the life sciences and their fields of application.
