With the 25th order of the Narcotics Law (BtMÄndV), which came into effect on May 18th, 2011, stationary hospices as well as special facilities for ambulatory palliative care are enabled to store narcotics in advance. In addition, the reuse of non-utilised narcotics has been facilitated. With the 30th order of the Narcotics Law, the maximum prescription doses of three narcotic drugs (levomethadone, methadone, morphine) have been raised.
