European Network for Research Ethics and Research Integrity

Research ethics and research integrity combine general ethical considerations as well as ethics and law as academic disciplines dealing with research activities, moral attitudes of scientists, normative guidelines of stakeholders such as sponsors or funding agencies, and various ethical expectations of civil society.

ENERI is based on the three existing networks ENRIO (European Network of Research Integrity Offices), EUREC (European Network of Research Ethics Committees) and ALLEA (All European Academies). Thus, ENERI integrates established institutions that accompany, support and monitor responsible research, such as research ethics committees, review boards, ombudsmen and research integrity offices.

The ENERI network aims in particular to promote the exchange of information and experience among the stakeholders involved in order to strengthen harmonization processes in the long term and to make the best possible use of synergy effects. Furthermore, the promotion of training capacities through the compilation of training offers and programs on a European level.
